The water level can rise to 1 meter above normal water level


After 2 months of continuous operation, measurements are taken: pH


Black sludge was oxidized away, the lakebed is now odorless gravel.
Excavated bottom samples were stored in airtight containers
After 3 days, presented at the meeting with participants from the Danish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
The sludge samples were still odorless


Monitor lizards and freshwater turtles got shiny skin


The turtles' shells were cleaned of algae.

Algae growth in the lake transfers oxygen to the water via sunlight during the day.
At night, the algae decompose and consume oxygen for decomposition processes.
This leads to fish kills and the water smells rotten.

First the Monitor lizards eat, then the Vultures come, and finally Gulls and Herons remove the rest.
