Water oxygenation – simplicity made efficient

Inspired by Viktor Schauberger (1885–1958), the award-winning Danish company LJM A/S has succeeded in developing a true marvel for water oxygenation – the now patented BioReco.
This innovation energizes water molecules with oxygen in eternal spiral movements, causing them to flow horizontally for an extended period – in one continuous motion.

BioReco/300 – simplicity made efficient
The Process
BioReco is a machine that oxygenates water with low energy consumption. This process is a very effective way to improve water quality in nutrient-rich lakes, or to ensure good biological conditions in lakes and streams in general.
BioReco produces microscopic bubbles that do not immediately rise to the surface but instead slowly spread throughout the surrounding environment.
The oxygen distributes from top to bottom, regardless of stratification, and can be detected up to a hundred meters away from the machine.
If you have a lake with bottom sludge, the oxygen from the machine will have a significant impact on the composting of the sludge layer. As the composting process continues, more and more oxygen will become available for organisms and animals, which will initiate the decomposition of algae and plant debris. This will introduce more light to the lakebed, thereby creating conditions for benthic plants to develop positively.
For lakes with foul-smelling sludge, algal blooms, no visibility, or oxygen depletion, BioReco can be a good solution, as it can be integrated into most systems and processes.
BioReco can be used repeatedly and is easy to move. It is manufactured from long-lasting materials.
Lake Gudme

The restoration of Lake Gudme began in 2002.
The biological cycle is assisted by BioReco micro-bubble technology.

Lake Gudme has been restored from a lake with bottom sludge and a very high
algal presence. The changes in the lake's water caused, among other things, fish deaths and required a quick rescue plan to restore balance.
The biological cycle is assisted by BioReco microbubble technology.
Today, the lake has a rich wildlife and the positive process has been re-established.
Physics transformed

BioReco creates oxygenated micro-bubbles that slowly circulate horizontally and downwards for an extended period.
The oxygenated micro-bubbles restore the water's natural movements – regardless of stratification.
Biological restoration of depleted and polluted waters.
Application: Ponds, lakes, reservoirs, lagoons, estuaries, harbours, tanks, fish farms, etc.

Capacity: < 2800 cubic gallons / 10,000 m³
For larger volumes, 2 or more BioReco/300 units are used.
Power consumption: 0.18 kW/h
Intensive aquaculture – made possible with BioReco/300
Fish at all stages need sufficient oxygen to grow.

Sufficient oxygen ensures healthy feed utilization, efficient biomass degradation, and low parasite pressure.
Oxygen is essential for both eggs and fry.

BioReco/300 infuses water molecules with oxygen – easily absorbed through the gills of fish.

Industrial use
Wash water from trucks is pre-treated for recycling in a closed system.

BioReco/300 removes organic impurities, bad odours, and minimizes sludge build-up.

Polishing lagoon: Dairy production wash water is polished before discharge.

An environmentally effective response to oil spills in marine environments
Easy handling and efficient deployment – "simplicity made effective" – give BioReco/300 an excellent role as a first-response unit.

BioReco/300 is supplied as standard with equipment for both bioremediation and biodegradation – simultaneously or separately.
Slurry
BioReco/300 deployed in slurry and liquid manure collectors.

BioReco/300 maintains the slurry as an active, nutrient-rich, and living environment.

Test
Location: Ringkøbing Wastewater Treatment Plant

Date: 04-05-1997
Tank volume: 337 m³ (water depth 375 cm)
Machine: BioReco (3 kW motor – 4-pole)
Purpose: Effect of BioReco’s oxygen supply in water with 0% oxygen content.
Procedure:
Start: 26 kg sodium sulfite + 115 g cobalt chloride added to the tank
0–3 hours: Oxygen content drops to 0%
3rd hour: BioReco started
2/3–8/9 hours: Remaining oxygen-removing chemicals consumed
Stop: From 8/9 to 35 hours, oxygen level rises above initial level and remains there

Wastewater treatment plants often struggle to keep up with increasing loads, creating technical and environmental challenges.
BioReco/300 is an excellent choice where extra purification and polishing are needed.
As a bonus, odor nuisance is reduced due to the efficient decomposition of aromatic organic compounds.
The spiral movements of innovation energize water molecules with oxygen, creating long-lasting horizontal and downward circulation – effective in both containers and large scales.

Analysis performed by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, Department of Environmental Chemistry.
BioReco/300 works equally well in tropical and frosty climates.
In frosty conditions, movement and circulation reduce ice build-up.
In full ice cover, BioReco is temporarily submerged.
